Welcome to Perk Academic Mentors. By accessing our website (www.perkonline.net) and utilizing our mentorship services, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease all use of our platform.
1.1 Service Description
Perk provides educational mentorship, specifically in Mathematics, Physics, and Technology. Our services are intended for Middle School, High School, and College Prep students. We facilitate learning but do not grant degrees or official academic credit.
1.2 User Eligibility
Users under the age of 18 must have these terms reviewed and accepted by a parent or legal guardian. By registering, the Guardian assumes full financial and legal responsibility for the Learner's actions on the platform.
2. Privacy Policy
Your privacy is paramount. This policy outlines how Perk Academic Mentors ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your data in compliance with global standards including GDPR and CCPA.
2.1 Data Collection
- Personal Identity Data: Name, age, grade level, and school affiliation.
- Contact Data: Email address, phone number, and physical billing address.
- Technical Data: IP addresses, browser type, and interaction logs.
- Academic Data: Test scores, curriculum progress, and logic assessments.
2.2 Data Processing Purposes
We process data to personalize the "Next Gen" acceleration tracks, facilitate 1-on-1 sessions via video conferencing, and provide parents with quantitative progress audits. We never sell student data to third-party advertisers.
4. Billing & Refund Policy
4.1 Subscription Cycles
All packages (Essential, Focused, Mastery) are billed on a monthly recurring basis. Invoices are issued 5 days prior to the start of a new mentoring cycle.
4.2 Cancellation
Clients may cancel their subscription at any time with 14 days' written notice. Failure to provide notice will result in the billing of the subsequent month.
4.3 Refund Limitation
Due to the bespoke nature of academic scheduling and the reservation of mentor time, sessions missed by the student without 24-hour notice are non-refundable and non-transferable.
5. Academic Conduct & Honesty
Perk Academic Mentors maintains a zero-tolerance policy for academic dishonesty. Our mentors provide the logic and frameworks for success; we do not complete homework, take exams, or write essays on behalf of students. Any request for such services will result in immediate termination of the contract without refund.
6. Limitation of Liability
While Perk Academic Mentors has a proven track record of significant quantitative grade improvement, we do not guarantee specific results or university admissions. Academic success depends heavily on the student's individual effort, school environment, and consistency. Perk is not liable for any academic failures, school disciplinary actions, or rejected college applications.
6.1 Indemnification
The user agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Perk Academic Mentors and its employees from any claims, damages, or legal fees arising from the use of our digital platforms or mentoring services.
